Why Redesign Mental Health Research?
Psychiatric illness does not exist in isolation. It is intertwined with immune, metabolic, and neurologic systems.
Traditional research models were not designed to capture this level of biological and clinical complexity. As a result, they often fail the people most affected by serious mental illness, who still die 10–25 years earlier than their peers, most often from preventable disease.
